Sending Slo-Mo Video via WhatsApp

Alright?

So since the release of the iPhone 5s and its “Slo-Mo” video mode, we are able to take 120fps video, which enables us to pull sections of the footage back down to regular old 30fps gives us nice clear slow-motion footage.

Problem is, after we’ve chosen the section we want to be slowed down, the resulting video only maintains these changes (and bakes in the slow-motion bit) in certain scenarios such as sending via iMessage.

Well if you want to get your final version to play nicely with WhatsApp, or Instagram, or anything else for that matter, you can use a tidy little app called Slo-Mo Export.

Go to Slo-Mo Export on the App Store

Choose your video, then choose where its going (just choose Camera Roll if your target app isn’t listed and send it separately, it won’t overwrite the original) and you’re done, the slo-mo is baked in and you can use it however you want.

Jolly good.
